Can I get better performance in a game I'm playing on the Windows laptop if I connect a second monitor?

I have a question but I haven't found the answer anywhere. I play a lot on my notebook which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Since I play most games on low graphics and there are occasional small stutters, I looked around for tips on how to increase performance and what I snapped up that you can achieve better performance when I connect an external monitor. My question now would be that if I connect a second monitor to my notebook, whether I can achieve a bit better performance?

I thank you for your answers and have a nice day.

No, you can't, as you imagine. The games run just as well / badly on an external monitor because the performance depends on the hardware in the laptop. I think what you picked up was that with an external monitor, provided the hardware is strong enough, you can get a better gaming experience thanks to the higher resolutions and refresh rates of the external monitors.

I also wish you a nice day.

I don't see how. Perhaps because the Hz is limited, most laptop outputs can only display 60hz. That would then lead to a lower FPS number and could "improve" the performance.

But you can also cap the maximum FPS there.

Ma

HZ and FPS only have something to do with each other indirectly. And if more than 60 FPS could be output, then you do not increase the performance with an external monitor, only the gaming experience. The performance remains the same ^^

If I can only output 60hz over the connection, then only 60fps go through. As a result, the game usually capped itself to 60fps and thus draws a little less performance.

That's why I wrote "improve" in brackets.
