My laptop broke down a few years ago and I took the hard drive out of it because I thought you could somehow save the data.
Now I do not know if it just works, what you need, etc.
I was hoping someone here knows a bit about it and can tell me what kind of cable would be enough for that.
I have as I said only the hard drive and would like to transfer directly to my laptop. Is that possible or not?
I hope the picture is enough. Thank you in advance
This works out.
I have no plan of hard drives, I've bought ebay nen hard drive adapter, connected to the PC worked. There are in all sorts of forms, only cables, or stations us.w. Us.f.
That goes without a problem
Here is your problem solver:

is synonymous with amazon if you like that more:-)
in any case very useful the part, after the datenrettng, you can format the hard drive and use as external data storage for data backup
The link is shipping from Hong Kong.
Therefore the hint on amazon… Costs a little more
The link was only intended as a pointer to show what to look for when buying
If it is a 2½ "drive, then I would recommend you to just order an external housing. The dinger cost only n few euro and you can use the plate again and again for what.
There are also adapter cables for connecting a SATA hard disk to the USB port. But there are usually always synonymous power supplies here, because the 3½ "drives need more power than the USB delivers… Therefore, they are usually more expensive than the housing…
