Do I have to download PowerPoint?

I have to prepare a lecture or a PowerPoint presentation and I wanted to ask whether I absolutely have to download the program or whether I can do it in the browser. And if so, can you create good presentations there? I once read that you only have limited options with the online version of Word, for example.

And can you share PowerPoint on teams so that everyone can see it or can only the teachers do that? So they have to have access to my laptop or screen somehow?

I'm looking forward to your reply.

You can also do it online but it is not recommended

You have to download PowerPoint (as far as I know; you can correct me if it's not correct). If you want to do your presentation in the browser without downloading anything, you can use Prezi. The basic version doesn't cost anything either (but you have to create an account) and I personally find the presentations much better and more professional with it than with PowerPoint.

I don't know how team sharing works because we use something else.

You can also use PowerPoint online. The online Versoin is recommended for beautiful designs, as there are many great design suggestions. I think it's easier to use the app for animation. But it works the same way online. I believe all you need is an email address to sign up. But there you can take the ones you got from your school for logging in teams. You can then share the Powerpoint in teams at the end. Also works super easily.

I don't think you have to download it. I have My Drive and if you go to plus and then to more, there should come a column with Google Slide. This is exactly the same as PowerPoint.

Thanks for the answer! And I'll take a look at Prezi, thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for your answer. What do you mean by animation? : 3

Oh thanks.

Always a pleasure.

E.g. You can set how and when the individual points appear. There's also an extra point on the bar called Animations.
