Bring a laptop?

Do you think it is normal that I take my laptop with me to vocational school or boarding school? Because my mother said something like that is unnecessary. Go to a vocational school for automotive technology.

Your mother wants to protect you from harm or embarrassment.

You try it out and you can make your own! Gain experience.

I would take it with me if you don't need it then it's ok. And if you do, you have it with you. A laptop is not a huge piece of luggage that needs a lot of space

Why embarrassment?

I don't take them to school anyway. Only to the boarding school itself, then I can do things there too.

You go to school to study. Bring it with you if instructed by the teacher, otherwise leave it at home.

Not to school, to boarding school.

Without getting too close to your mother, it happens… You don't do it.

The boarding school is an accommodation. And not the school.

Your mother just wants to prevent it from being pulled from you.
