I have a dj serato mixing console (ddj-sb2) and have been trying for a long time to record my mixtracks with my laptop but it just does not work for me…

Here is a solution:
Enable stereo mix:
Install and start Audacity: https://www.audacityteam.org/
Enable stereo mix in Audacity when recording source
Click the recording button and mix live at Serato. This is now being recorded in real time.
When finished, stop recording. Then go to File> Export and select the desired output format.
If you have a Mac, you have to install Soundflower. This is the stereo mix counterpart for Mac: https://github.com/...-2.0b2.dmg
Audacity is also available for Mac. Choose Soundflower at the recording source. The rest is identical to Windows.
