Has any of you already had experience with Shopware?
I have just downloaded the free version and try to find my way around. Apparently I need a server, my notebook has a TB memory if that is related? I would need some tips on how best to proceed now.
First question in advance: What do you want to do?
There are many easier ways to open a webshop. For example, First start with Jimdo.
Setting up a shopware system is something for IT people. And yes, it has to be on a server. At home on the notebook it does not really bring anything. If you really want to shopware, then there's certainly a web host that does this for you.
But that's all more complicated than downloading and starting on the laptop.
Be aware that customer and payment information is used at a store. You probably are liable as operator for the security of this data. Accordingly, the request to inform you comprehensively. If you do not even know what differentiates a server from memory, I see a lot of catching up to do.

Why do not you take a "turnkey" solution from timmehosting.de or one of the others offering shopware hosting? Then you can take care of the products, SEO and legal requirements, that's more than enough work ;-)
For Jimdo I always have the feeling that the pages all look the same. Shopware leaves more room for originality, so I wanted to try it out.
There are many software for shops, but if you lack basic knowledge about the technique, it will be difficult. Take a ready offer (for example, Shopify.de). With the other construction sites (products, SEO & law) you still have enough work ;-)
