USB stick defective? (Tails)?

Yesterday I installed Tails, Tor Browser and Tor on a 64GB 3.0 USB stick (new). Since then, the Intenso drive is no longer visible. The next step after the restart would have been booting. But that doesn't happen either.

And Windows 10 immediately boots on the laptop. I can't get into DOS. I followed the steps of the Tails installation from the homepage for booting from Windows. Should I exchange the stick or can I fix it?

Booting: Some OEMs have extra physical buttons on the notebook itself. On my Lenovo, this small button is on the left side and can only be operated with a paper clip. It is best to look for your notebook on the Internet, there should also be tips on how to get your model into the BIOS or the Boot menu.

Is the USB stick not visible under Windows?

If it is not visible on Windows either, try the following (on Windows):

Open CMD as administrator, then run "diskpart" (without ""):

"list disk" → this should show all of your drives. Your USB stick should be visible there, with a specific number (e.g. "data carrier 2 …")
"select disk 2" (if necessary change the number to the number from 1.)
"list part" → should show all partitions from the usb-stick / drive
"select part x" → instead of "x" you should enter the partition shown
"delete part"

Repeat steps 3-5 until all partitions have been deleted from the USB stick. Here again a detailed instruction: https://www.diskpart.com/de/windows-10/diskpart-befehle-unter-windows-10-verwenden.html

It should then be possible to format the USB stick in the data carrier management.
