I would like to record with OBS on my laptop, but I have the problem that when I record on the screen, OBS films itself at the beginning, which creates a kind of "Infinity Mirror". This is not a problem with normal PCs, but my laptop does not have enough power for this. Can I somehow avoid OBS from doing this? A window shot or something is out of the question since there are a lot of popup windows that are important for what I want to film…
How can I solve this problem?
Make OBS small… With the "-" on the top right
After the start?
You take the picture and then you close OBS with the "-" in the top right.
Works!
But you really have a very weak laptop, how are you going to play there?
Nothing helps than assigning hotkeys and just starting it with a hotkey. If even that is too late, only make scenes with the games. That not the screen, but the games are recorded.
I would recommend you to save on a 2 monitor setup in the long term. OBS in particular can enable so many things during recording that you would otherwise edit.
I do not record games, but do tutorials about programs… Unfortunately there are a lot of pop-ups at GIMP that are not displayed when shooting windows…
Hotkeys helped!
