I would like to buy a new laptop with Windows soon, but I would like to install Linux Ubuntu or Mint. Now I want to have Windows on my 256GB SSD and 1TB of my HDD for other data on Windows. I want to assign Linux to the other TB from the HDD. So I want to assign only 1TB of HDD to Windows and assign the other Linux.
You can first pull on the SSD Windows and then after you have taken out the SSD taken out again on the HDD Linux. Then you only have to start when you start in bios from which plate you want to boot
Just install Win on the SSD and Linux on the 1TB HDD, ready.
I have a 2TB HDD and would like that I can access Windows only with 1TB and for Linux 1TB. Separated so that in Windows Explorer only 1TB emerges.
Ne I want that I have Windows on the SSD and shared on the Windows disk. So with Windows I would like to access only on 1TB of the HDD
You install Windows on the SSD and as soon as you install the GNU / Linux system on the HDD, you create an ext4 partition for the GNU / Linux system (or more) and an NTFS partition for Windows. You can do this directly in the GNU / Linux installation.
Thanks, that was the answer I was looking for.
