Laptop monitor lights up after I shut down the laptop?

Since yesterday I have had the problem that the monitor lights up on my laptop even though I shut it down. It looks like there are any lights on and flickering. Only when I remove the battery and disconnect the power adapter from the device, it will light up. Can I still use the laptop and does it stop? What's this?

I also had this with a laptop from a customer and replaced the battery and the power supply and it was all good
