I want to buy a laptop that offers 128GB SSD but also 1000GB HDD. I know that one SSD works faster, but then I do not understand how I manage the memory. Let's say I have an 8GB video on my laptop. Is it running under HDD storage or SSD storage? It's the first time I see a laptop that contains both.
The operating system is usually stored on the SSD and the standard applications on the HDD
I would save big files like the video on the HDD. It's still faster than a DVD / BluRay disc (or is it actually the wrong spelling "disc"?), So there are no jerks, picture dropouts, movie hanger u. Ä. To be expected.
For this it is advantageous to move the corresponding folders such as "My Videos" on the HDD. How to do that, can be found on the Internet at [Windows special folders move] o. Ä.
If you have only a dozen or so films, they all fit on the SSD - but why do you need the HDD?
The default setting will be drive C: the SSD. You can move the file however you like. In the program with "Save as" and select drive, or move with the Explorer by (right click also Startbutton and search for the file).
I just see that in the topics on the question "Windows" does not appear. In Linux you can move these folders even easier; All it takes is a simple "link". With the usual other operating systems, there are also possibilities.
