Word 2010 (also Excel 2010) on my mother-in-law's laptop no longer opens. See the attached screenshot for the message.
Registry editor checked, there are no regs stored for Word. File can't be repaired / changed in the system control either. Running as admin doesn't help either. Existing documents can't be opened either.
What else can I try here?
The lady is a teacher so she would be very grateful for any help.
Additional fun fact: When repairing the program, the message appears that a complete repair is not possible because there's no internet connection. Obviously that's not true haha.

Reinstall. There was obviously an error during the installation - I'm assuming that your office was properly purchased.
I'm a little afraid of that. The laptop was set up by the son and the mother-in-law no longer knows whether Word was already on it or not. Since I currently don't have access to any product keys, I'm not sure that I should do that.
