Hi, my legs always itch so much after taking a shower that I just have to scratch. Regardless of whether I have my cell phone, laptop or a glass in hand, if it itches I have to scratch, even if I have to drop things for it. I shower every 2 to 3 days, then use a Nivea to apply lotion, but nothing helps (I've already used a lot of products). I don't have any allergies so far (not confirmed by the doctor).
Sometimes I sit scratching for half an hour and it has been feeling more and more violent since the last few days.
What should I do? Could it be an allergic reaction? And can you recommend a really good cream?
Body lotion?
Go to a dermatologist who can help. 👀🌵
I use it, it says in my description.
I can actually recommend lotions for allergy sufferers or babies, even if no allergies have been proven. I have the same problems in winter, and Sebamed or Hipp help me quite well.
What also helps with me is rinsing my legs again with ice-cold water after taking a shower. Somehow this reduces the itching a lot.
Hey 🌷, skin is generally drier in winter. Tip 1, apply baby oil (enough from the discounter) to damp skin in the shower. Pores are still open due to the warm water and in connection with the moisture it is well absorbed. Then just dab it off, do not dry it off as usual. Tip 2, coconut oil. Since it is naturally solid, warm it up on the heater or briefly in the microwave beforehand. But it is also important that you remove the flakes of skin with a peeling glove when showering. But rub it gently! Normally, peeling once a week is enough. This allows the care to move in better! Also helpful for extremely dry skin, coconut oil overnight. Apply generously and massage in gently.

I could well imagine that your skin is very dry due to your frequent showering. Please try a very high moisturizing lotion, always applying lotion after you shower. From my own experience, I can recommend Bepanthen Sensiderm Creme and Linola Body Milk, they are skin-friendly, take away the itching and moisturize your skin. Unfortunately, these skin care products don't come cheap. But you can also try baby sensory lotions from Bübchen, Penaten, etc., there are small samples to buy from DM and Rossmann. Otherwise, the care products such as the shower gel and body lotion from Lashuma sheep's milk with lanolin and shea butter also help.
I wish you itch-free skin, good luck and all the best!
VlG and stay healthy! 😷
