I'm considering buying an all-in-one PC - a device in which all computer components are installed in the monitor. However, I travel a lot, so the PC should always be with me when I work. Can such a model be easily packed in a hard case and transported on an airplane? Laptops and tablets are no alternatives for me.
Don't know what speaks against it. As long as a PC is off, it can withstand quite a lot. The most sensitive in such a computer is the HDD, if possible I would take an SSD (or take the HDD with me in hand luggage).
But wouldn't know what speaks against a capable laptop, they are much more common today, and then you don't have to take a keyboard and mouse with you and don't depend on sockets. And they're not slower anymore.
"Laptops and tablets are no alternatives for me."
I have read.
Maybe they should. Doesn't seem to have a good reason
For me, the question immediately arises why a laptop is not an alternative. What you describe is exactly why there are laptops at all.
It doesn't matter. My question is: whether an all-in-one PC can be easily transported in a case.
I would use a model with an SSD if you don't need too much storage space. And the screen should be between, say, two layers of clothes. You should also cover the screen with something soft without buttons or something to avoid scratches. Then it will work.

PS: I would be very interested in why a laptop should not be an alternative… I can only imagine two scenarios. On the one hand the keyboard, on the other hand the somewhat small screen.
And that was answered.
Yes it can be transported but should have an SSD inside. In contrast to a laptop, the part is not made for it and therefore bulky.
So it is reduced to the question why you want to solve it cumbersome instead of just…
