Your laptop will likely be very busy. Do you have an HDD? It takes longer to read / write. You shouldn't copy such large amounts of data with Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V, that only creates problems.
What are the specifications of your laptop?
Alternatively → Task Manager → end the task
