Which office should you buy?

I want for a laptop (win10) just MS Word, powerpoint, exel,. Play. It does not have to be the most modern, just work, be completely legal and cost no fortune.

If you look at the search you will find everything from less than 10, - € to more than 1.000, - €. I would also like to get a disk with this software, this is offered, but the associated product key seems to be regenerated illegally.

Often there are annual subscriptions, but I want to install once and then never have to do anything else again (unless the laptop has to be reinstalled).

I'm considering for about 60, - € to order an office package, this is supposed to be just a product key. However, outsourced from an office package for multiple end users originally from MS. Software would then have to be downloaded (if need be…).

Who can give me a hint, possibly even call the seller, which would be the most appropriate in the desired mixture. If it is important, it is purely about private use, but should provide practice-oriented exercise for use in companies.

Wi

There are also free office packages like OpenOffice and LibreOffice. The range of functions corresponds to the MS package except for a few very special functions. For private use more than sufficient, and very similar in operation to the MS package. The advantage of the alternatives is that they are free.

My last sentence from the question should have been clearer.

Ro

My opinion is that you should first try the open source office package LibreOffice. It has a similar functionality as MS Office Pro. You can still decide later if you really need an expensive Microsoft program package. LibreOffice offers more than the average consumer needs. Do not make the mistake to buy licenses from expensive programs cheap on the WEB.

mi

Again, the last sentence of the question I should probably have spelled clearer.

fi

Nonsense… If you want to learn it you should understand it and not just blind find the switch. And that also works with free software.

Ca

If you can use and understand Libre or OpenOffice, then you can also use MS Office. Possibly. Can MS Office do a few things more or better / worse. The differences are not that big, except that Libre or OpenOffice is free and you pay too much money for MS. If you master the free programs, you also learn very quickly in the MS Office.

Fa

I disagree. Of course, LibreOffice is good for the home user sector as well, but MS Word offers a slightly different user interface and much more in the area of spreadsheets.

The price of 60 euro sounds like an annual license for Office 365. This is - as the name implies - only a license for 1 year. That would be something like here: https://www.amazon.de/...00ISRZFES/

If you need a full up-to-date Office, then you would have to look explicitly for Office 2010, 2016 or 2019 (these are the lifelong one-time versions): e.g. https://www.amazon.de/...07FYZM327/

Directly viewed Office 365 is of course cheaper (~ 60 euro as opposed to 120-150 euro), but you expect over 3 years, is a one-shot - assuming you do not need the whole "cloud-dumb" and buy in 2022 no new Office version - cheaper.

Pay attention, however, necessarily on reviews and if necessary on the note "sale and dispatch by Amazon", then you are on the safe side. An exception for allegedly cheap licenses, there are then but: OEM licenses, their distribution in Germany is legal (confirmed by the highest court) are volume licenses, which are originally for PC manufacturers, but you can also use privately.

s. Also copy & paste another answer from me:

There are Office yes in two versions, see https://products.office.com/...buy/office

Microsoft Office 2019 for one-time shopping, without updates to newer versions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Office 365 subscription (monthly / yearly payable) with additional 1TB OneDrive memory, Outlook, etc.

Both first and second you get reputable both at Microsoft and other reputable dealers (Amazon, Ebay). But please always pay attention to the reviews, there are many crooks around, the "alleged" Keys sell. Another point is OEM licenses (is usually tuned): These are completely legal in Germany.

mi

The 60, - € should cost such an OEM license, at least it reads according to the description so.

The very problem with ripoff has moved me to the question.

mi

Nonsense! Comprehensive textbooks exist for MS, work is done with MS, it is nonsense to practice with software whose use is different.

By the way, it's not about myself.

fi

Professionally MS is working, not true. I know companies there's worked exclusively with free software. Also in my company…

mi

If you are a mischief who can't afford proper software…

In the case mentioned is worked with MS.
