Microphone Boya By-M1 does not work, is this about?

I bought a lavalier microphone, the Boya By-M1 which does not work on my PC. On the laptop it works, however, this has a single common 3.5 mm connection, which my PC does not have. (I tried the microphone on 2 sound cards on the PC without success)

It would work if I put in a battery, but then the quality is very bad and that does not make sense as it should get power from the pc.
