I formatted a hard drive on a laptop with GParted (under PartedMagic). That means deleting all partitions and creating a single one with an NTFS file system. GParted has crashed and the hard drive is no longer recognized after restarting the program. Not in other tools either. How can I fix this problem?
Look in the computer management to see if the hard drive is found there. You may need to repartition and format the drive.
Just restarted from gparted? Rather restart the entire computer. Try Windows and Linux.
Defective hardware can't be ruled out, but it would be strange.
Possibly. Take another Linux live. If it is a USB disk, try another connection. Or connect the HD "correctly", then in with LIve.
