My question would be whether both components need the latest Wi-Fi 6 to use it. Example: My router does not have Wi-Fi 6 but I wanted to upgrade my WLAN card on my laptop to Wi-Fi 6, now my question is whether it is worth it. Does the router also need Wi-Fi 6 to use it? Or does the laptop only send the strongest reception of the router that it can receive… If I want to use WLAN 6, do I need the latest Wi-Fi 6 on the router or on the laptop?
Both devices must support the Wlan AX standard so that you can use it.
