My laptop suddenly crashed after booting (i.e. Black screen). He no longer reacts to anything but is not over either. As I said, the screen is black but it still works in the background. So he makes loud noises (loud for his standards) and expels cold air.
The laptop is actually quite new and has worked without any problems so far. What can I do? Should I just close it and let the battery run down?
If cold air comes in, the CPU is probably closed. Otherwise heat would be generated that would have to be dissipated.
Turn off hard times and restart.
Unfortunately, there's also nothing to switch off.
Either press the power button for 10 seconds.
If that doesn't help: disconnect the power cord and briefly remove the battery.
The part with the "hard" switch off worked…
