I always let the charging cable of my laptop run when I play, so I never take it off, and it's been 6 months. And today I wanted to take it off because I was worried. When I disconnected the charging cable, the laptop suddenly wasn't as fluid anymore, so the quality has become very poor. And my question now is: can I somehow fix this. I wouldn't worry about that at first.
This is most likely due to the fact that the laptop cuts its performance down by default when it is not receiving power in order not to put too much strain on the battery.
You can turn this off in the power settings.
To do this, you simply have to enter "energy settings" in the search field at the bottom left and change the settings for the battery power in the options.

The performance drops in battery mode. If you have Windows 10, click once the laptop is unplugged on the battery symbol below and pull the slider to "Best performance"
