Laptop, new battery, lights up and goes out?

I have the problem that my laptop does not load properly anymore, today got the new battery I ordered, exchanged and charged.

The signal light on the laptop for charging is on, but goes off again after about 40-50 seconds and nothing moves.

Can anyone help me?

With some laptops one can re-initialize the "charging circuit" after the battery change - I know that for mine, with you I would ask the support, if that is so necessary.
