Cell phone Wi-Fi failures?

For a few days the Wi-Fi on my cell phone has been failing every 2-5 minutes for 10-60 seconds. I have a laptop at the same distance from the router and it works there without a cover.

What can that be and what can I do?

Brief solutions:

Too many neighbors on the same Wi-Fi channel?

Or your smartphone is capable of WLAN dual band, but band steering or roaming is not properly mastered.

Solution idea:

If you have a dual-band router (Wi-Fi with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with the same SSID), then some Android devices have problems with it.

Log in to the router (configuration page of the router) and try switching off the Wi-Fi at 5 GHz completely, or give the Wi-Fi a different Wi-Fi name for 5 GHz only (for FritzBoxes you have to activate the extended view).

Delete "your Wi-Fi connection" on the Android device and connect freshly to your Wi-Fi (in the close range with 5 GHz, more distant with 2.4 GHz) best with the WPS button on the router and the menu "press WPS button" on the smartphone (this menu can be found in the list of WLANs).

If it works stable then your problem is solved!
