Can't play the DVD?

I want to watch a movie on my laptop. The DVD is in the laptop and the program that is supposed to play it has opened. Now that you can enter whether you want to start the film or want it to be in a different language, I can't select / click anything and therefore can't watch the film. My question, am I doing something wrong? Are there maybe buttons for it? Or should I download a new (free) program, if so which one?

Sometimes have scratches or sweat on them

Are there any scratches on the cd? So if something didn't work for me, I cleaned the CD and tried it again and if it didn't work, just put a little toothpaste on the CD, let it dry and then tried again and at the latest then it worked again

You can probably try the time or look for a different program first if it is because of that unless you have already watched several films with the program

Neither Windows MediaPlayer nor VLC can reliably play DVDs with copy protection. Sometimes it works, sometimes it is bad, sometimes it doesn't work at all.

A paid program would be the best idea.

There are also some DVD rippers that are free of charge. I don't know how successful they are and I wouldn't make a binding statement on the subject of lagality.
