Headset microphone is not only on this laptop - why?

The basic state looks like this: I spoke with my friends about Discord quite normally, as so often. Suddenly I heard a very loud beeping and the others too, but a little quieter. Then I first unplugged my headset and back in. Now I can only hear, but I can't speak anymore. I first thought my microphone would have just broken and bought a new headset. So I replaced my former HyperX Cloud 2 with a HyperX Cloud Alpha. Now I can talk again, but I always hear an electronic noise. On the Internet, I have read that this can also be on the ADC on the motherboard. So I tested the two headsets on the identical laptop of my brother. But then they work flawlessly. So now I'm expecting a broken motherboard. Is that correct? And what can I do about it with a laptop? Can I just buy an external soundcard? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Now the old headset works more or less easy again, but the new one is not… What can that be?

Hm. Think of the driver or network. Go best to a computer store market

Well it is indirectly on the motherboard but rather on the built-in sound chip.
