I would like to reset my laptop to the factory settings and then switch from the Windows 7 operating system to Windows 10.
Reset problem: I need a Windows installation disc to restore the system. I no longer have this.
My idea: Since I want to play Windows 10 on the PC anyway, I would insert a Windows 10 installation disk instead of the Windows 7 installation disk when resetting the PC. So I could reset my PC and play Windows 10 on my laptop at the same time.
Is this possible in principle? Or have I thought incorrectly about that?
If someone knows me a more elegant solution, I would also be very interested.
You already have the win 10 key?
There's a "more elegant", namely shorter solution. Since you lose your programs when you reset, you can omit this and immediately install Win10

There you can download the ISO instructions are included.
The best thing is to install it on a stick and put it over win7 and everything will be deleted.
