My headset microphone is not recognized, what can I do?

Corona forces us all into online mode, including the university. I work from a PC and unfortunately I currently have to use my cell phone for video conferencing. The reason: my microphone on the headset is not working; the audio output already. I've tried the following:

Reinstall driver
Update drivers
Take another USB socket (have a USB 3.0 headset from Logitech)
Select as standard, rest deactivated
Level checked
tried it on another PC (at least it shows that the microphone is set to quiet, and it actually definitely works)

I also run out of ideas with the help of the Internet. Unfortunately I work on Win7, and that won't change until I have a new laptop soon.

I'm haphazard and don't know how to get the mic to work. Any of you here who can help me?

Ch

A valuable piece of information would be what kind of headset it is

Sy

Nothing.

I have three headsets. Both are recognized in one, only the headphones in the second, and only the microphone in the third. The world is bad.

Rh

I already wrote a Logitech USB headset. Unfortunately I don't know the exact name of the model because I got the headset as a gift.

Ch

Can you possibly take a picture of the headset and add it to the question maybe i recognize the hedset and can do some research

Rh

Already done.

Ch

No problem

Dr

Maybe it's just broken? If I look at the cable like this, it would be no wonder.

What does the level say? In which software do you use it and maybe you have to select a microphone?

Rh

The level shows nothing when I speak…

My only idea that might help you: connect the part to a Linux computer. If possible to someone from someone who knows his stuff. The error messages are usually more meaningful than under Windoof.

Otherwise: You will definitely look very good with the part.

vi

Since it works on another Windows computer, Linux should not help.

Rh

I don't care how I look with that thing to be honest ^^

Unfortunately I don't have Linux available.

The description "quietly set" makes me wonder. My usual reaction to that would be: turn it up. Since I trust the Kleenen to do so, I suspected that this was not possible.

vi

"Quietly set" in one computer, not recognized in the other. I'm not familiar with the possible errors with USB microphones, because I prefer the type that is plugged into the sound card via a jack.

I do not believe you. Not since you no longer care about your appearance.

Unfortunately I don't have Linux available.

You should turn to someone who not only has, but also has a clue. Otherwise I would have recommended a live system.
