As soon as I plug in the charging cable, a loud, partly quite loud noise is created. If I pull the cable out it stops after a few seconds. Does anyone know why that is?
Is the power adapter or the notebook rustling?
The notebook itself.
Is the noise coming from speakers or somewhere else?
Seems to come out of the charging socket.
No the "noise" is of course not normal.
Probably a coil noise.
How old is the notebook?
Is that "noise" when the notebook is off or only when you have it on?
If the noise is when the notebook is on, this is of course normal!
Then the fan runs to cool the CPU / GPU, otherwise your notebook would die of heat if the notebook is not cooled.
The fan works differently in mains operation than in battery operation. I would clean it once. I think there's also a possibility in the settings to change how the fan should work. But I would not do too much about it. Because your computer can overheat.
