My laptop gave up the ghost since yesterday because I hit the keyboard with my hand in Rage Mode. Since then, the screen has been black or does not work anymore. The laptop still boots up, so do the LEDs and the fan also starts up. So I doubt a total failure. And before that I hit it at least a hundred times and nothing happened. I hope that some connection has been disconnected or that the mainboard or the hard drive is broken, because the damage would not be so great. If that were the case, how much would the repair costs be (roughly)? My laptop was on sale for 900 euro. Bought it from Media Markt, so I'm referring to their repair service.
Motherboard is an economic total loss for the laptop.
Of course it depends on what broke.
In addition, depending on what is broken, the technicians need more time to get to the parts and replace them. Mainboard would be the worst case. The more time you invest, the more expensive it gets.
