Question about a Dropbox account?

Yesterday I got a Dropbox account (on my laptop) to save some files there. Now my question, I would like to provide some PDF files (which I have downloaded to Dropbox) to my parents (who have a Mac). Do they also need an extra account or can they easily access my account. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with it and am grateful for any help.

You can simply share your folder then you can only access it with the link on it

It would be good if your parents would create an account, after all, it's called dropbox.

Or if you really have no idea you can create a USB stick and if you have time to load all the PDFs on it and give them to your parents.

Dropbox is like an email, only that you can send files.
