Hi
I have an MSI GP73 8RE with Win 10 that is about 1 year old and worked great until last night.
Today I turned it on to work normally and after five minutes I got an error message with a smiley [:(] from Windows. Unfortunately I didn't have the code. Information was collected and the laptop wanted to reboot. Then the problems started.
When he switched on he had a black screen but the RGB lighting worked. I was also able to make the lighting brighter and darker using the key combination. Ventilation also worked. Then he switched off and on again.
I'm pretty helpless.
Thanks for answers
If you can need a video of it, please write it in your answer.
Overall sounds like a hardware defect.
Without the error code, it will be difficult.
First of all, start the part without a battery, only with electricity and the best thing you can do is connect an external monitor.
I would try to boot a live Linux or simply install an operating system. Before that, you may need to back up important data from the hard disk.
Thank you for your answer!
The battery is integrated, which could be difficult for a technology novice like me to get there. Are there really no other options?
And could you express the last option that you listed again more understandable to me? I'm not that talented in technology ^ _ ^
Not me now. But such a LiveLinux (Knoppix) is quickly pushed onto a USB.
Could you please explain the method to me a little easier?
Try the following: Battery out and power pack off. Now press the On button for 30 seconds. If you still have the problem afterwards, check whether you can install another, working hard drive. You need to go to troubleshooting and see where the problem could arise. Also try with an external screen via HDMI whether you get a picture.
However, I suspect that one of your working memories is defective or has not made proper contact. Remote diagnosis is always difficult. You don't come around I think to open the laptop from below once.
