PC or laptop? - 6

Since the prices for graphics cards are far too high at the moment, I'm thinking about buying a laptop (around 600 euro). Budget for the PC 1500 euro. Or is there an alternative solution?

A few months ago I was racking my brains about whether it was a laptop or a PC. PC is of course always a bit more expensive, depending on what kind of components you use, but that's where the PC is best. In a few years, if there are newer and better parts, you can buy them externally and replace them in the PC, and then sell the old parts, the laptop will eventually lag behind in terms of technology and must be completely replaced. In addition, a PC is much more powerful.

In my own experience, the PC was really worth it. A good monitor and it's perfect.

Hi, do you have a good config? Best with a good CPU but bad GK, as this will be replaced.

If you don't have to be mobile with it, always use a PC. You get a little more for the money, you can swap components better and choose them more freely. Also the screen.

But unfortunately not at the moment…

Not at the moment. When I was looking, the graphics card was my main criterion because I wanted a lot of performance from it and I also don't like to tinker with it myself😅

Have a look at NZXT Build, there you can specify your budget and whether you want Intel or AMD, then you get a good compilation and can change every single part from a list of parts that fit in the given compilation. They assemble everything for you, make sure that everything works and deliver it to you.

When I was looking, I was about to order from them but then found an offer from Aldi. A Medion Erazer Hunter X10 with MSI RTX 3080, Intel i9-10900K processor and other good components that I can't remember. Was a limited offer to 25 pieces. It started at midnight, bought straight away and 20 minutes later it was sold out. By the way, look everywhere at such offer announcements and compare everywhere. I think in the 3 weeks that I've researched and compared, I've learned more about computers and parts than ever before😅

la

Is that different with the laptop at the moment?

lo

Yes

la

If you have different budgets, you can't compare it anyway.

lo

Ok and how much did you have to pay for it?

an

2600 euro which is really good for the composition. When I search on Google Shopping I find the graphics card alone for 3000 euro😱

Here again what I got for it:

Intel i9-10900K processor 5.30 GHz, 10 cores, 20 threads

MSI motherboard with WLAN chip

MSI RTX 3080, 10 GB GDDR6X graphics memory

32 GB HyperX Fury RGB DDR4 RAM 3200 MHz

1 TB PCIe SSD

4 TB HDD

Alphacool Eisbär 240 V2 water cooling

6x 120mm fans

3 year guarantee

It's really good for the price, it was definitely worth it to me, although it could have been more SSD. If the warranty has expired (if you screw around yourself, the warranty expires as far as I know) I might add more.

It was just a one-time deal, I haven't found such a direct compilation yet. You just have to inform yourself about the parts to be able to weigh the pros and cons and keep your eyes and ears open everywhere, see if a cheap deal does not appear (is usually announced).

OK thanks.
