I have a big problem with my iPhone X. It fell into the bathroom today and has not worked properly since. I got it out immediately and it was still on, only the "Face ID" did not work. After that, I had it for about 10 minutes in the hand and have "worked" with it until it suddenly drove down. Thereafter, the Apple logo was constantly appearing, the screen was black again and then came back the Apple logo. I tried to connect it to the laptop, then came the message "Restore or Update" I'm updating, but it has meanwhile stopped the process, then iTunes has no longer recognized my iPhone (tried several times). Later I tried the different keyboard shortcuts to turn it off completely etc. And then a white screen with "To restore to top painting" appeared with a request to enter the unlock code. I did not do it because I was afraid that all my data would be deleted.
I have to make a backup before I can delete it, the data is very important. If backup does not work, I would need some other solution. The main thing is that the data is saved.
If someone has a tip, I would be very happy about it.
Do you use iCloud? Check there with a computer on iCloud.com for a backup.
Otherwise there's no way.
Backups should be created regularly as long as the device is working properly.
Unfortunately I only have 5gb iCloud memory and it is already full for a long time. But I have seen a video in which someone disassembled the iPhone, a capacitor in the motherboard changes and thus can start the phone without deleting the data.
I wonder if that's possible, because then I would go to the repair service as a last resort.
A repair service does not solder on the board, but exchanges these or the components.
The iCloud memory can be increased tenfold for 99 ct per month.
But try your luck, where others have to pay, that you have neglected your regular backups.
