I bought a SanDisk Micro SD card on Ebay classifieds for 35 euro. It's the SanDisk Extreme Pro 256 GB. Private sale by a family, top rating.
However, I think this is a fake. Am I correct?
I come to this assumption because this was delivered in an unusual (?) Case and the print is also strange. The yellow writing in the lower half of the card has a white part (see pictures).
Furthermore, it took 2.75 hours to copy 32GB to this card (with another laptop this was not possible at first)
Would be nice if someone could help me.
Ebay what?
Did the part cost only a fraction of what it normally costs in electronics stores? You can always find something like that on Ebay.
It was a private ad from a family on Ebay Classifieds. Rating top and price: 35 euro including shipping.
The case is not unusual at all. But just with the rough material you can somehow see that it looks pretty cheap. If you already have problems with copying / moving files then it's actually pretty obvious xD
It is of course possible that you have been ripped off. Even if the part was still in its original packaging.
It wasn't anymore. Only lay in the case as shown in the photo. You don't know whether it's new or not: /
Do you still have the link?

1) Check read / write speed with the https://www.heise.de/...mark-66717 (benchmark only sequential read / write rates, the rest takes forever with SD cards, because they are extremely slow in them)
2) Check the actual size with https://www.heise.de/...estw-50539
Is fake. The surface of the original is not rough
I found a https://www.heise.de/...4297068168 here.
It is obviously a fake.
Aside from the surface, the text "never" would be pushed so far to the right that the "30" would almost be cut off.
The fact that you have trouble describing it also suggests that it is a cheap product.
Original cards can be faulty or not work, but if there are several signs, it is… Obvious!
This is always a problem with private purchases. That's why I don't like buying higher quality products privately.
I would report the offer to eBay classifieds (as a buyer). Possibly go to the matter.
Little addition.
"2)" in particular is important and should always be bought. No matter which dealer - no matter which card. USB sticks are also included.
To 1) Of course, it is also important how fast the card reader is and how quickly it was connected. The fastest card is of no use if the card reader is lame.
Since yesterday I tried to contact the seller and lo and behold - got the money back perfectly. Now I'm buying a card that is sure to be original.
I already thought about 1). And to 2) why should one always check that?
Because there are fake sticks that claim to have more storage space than was actually installed.
If you do not test whether you can write the full card, you will lose data in case of doubt.
But that's good to hear! The advertisement was a bit more professional with the product images, so it was all the more surprising that the reaction was so accommodating!
I would report it anyway, I think that could be the scam.
In the pictures it looks completely different.
