My SD card from SanDisk is not recognized on a laptop. What should I do?
If it's new and empty, maybe format it?
Has it ever worked with another one?

Either there's a loose contact with the card reader or the card is defective (I'm now assuming that it is in the right direction and you did not force it in).

Sometimes I just have to put mine in a row more often until it is recognized.
Then check the card reader of your laptop again with another card.

Well, then the card reader is defective or you have inserted it upside down.

True, not really, but everything works by force.
If there are pictures on it, then it should be formatted.
If that worked in the past, it's probably broken.
Then you can at most write to the manufacturer and ask for a replacement if necessary.
Open Computer Management and then go to Disk Management. Then you have to see them and possibly format and partition them first.
