Is that bad for the laptop?

I bought a laptop 2 days ago. It should be the birthday present for my younger brother. My brother's birthday is in 14 days.

Now my question: Is it bad if the laptop is still in the box for 14 days? Could there be any damage?

No, just the opposite. It is well protected in the box.

That's no problem at all. Laptops are sometimes stored in cardboard boxes in any warehouse for significantly longer than just two weeks.
