Sims 3 crashes on map view?

I have a new laptop and set up my Sims 3 there. I set the graphics settings a little higher and everything fits, so it doesn't hang. But as soon as I open the map view the game crashes or it closes by itself. What can I do about it?

Open start menu → DXDiag [Enter]

See if there are any problems. If DirectX 12 can be activated in the game, switch to DX11.

Replace graphics card driver.

Run the game in windowed mode instead of full screen.

How can I convert DirectX 12 to DX11?
