Anti-virus software?

Huhu, can anyone recommend a good and reliable antivirus program? Got a new laptop a few days ago and I want to play it safe this time. I'm on the net a lot and I also download one or the other for games, because you have caught something quickly, if you are not careful.

I'm "Kaspersky" fan.

Windows 10 has one with the Defender directly. Additional software, which brings only further gaps, I think is nonsense.

By "one or the other" are meant no illegal downloads. But thanks, at least you have the courtesy to ask. Others do not seem to do that. * Cough *

By that I mean mostly custom content such as For the Sims. On my last laptop, it happened to me that I had countless viruses on it, although actually downloaded on "clean" pages. X.x

Under Windows 10 it is recommended to first look for software in the Microsoft Store and load it there. Then it will also be updated automatically. This "I'll download an exe and install it" is more of a leftover from which you really want to get away.

Otherwise the principle: Always load software from the manufacturer.

Mods came to mind then, just edited again. And yes, something like this can happen if any user can upload files and they are not checked. An AntiVirus program or the Defender will offer you but also not a hundred percent protection, but the use does not hurt in any case.
