I have a question, I have an old Canon EOS D30 and have just taken a few pictures and would like to load them onto my laptop for editing, but I don't know how 🙈 could you help me? So if there was any cable for it, unfortunately I have none aSince I got the camera used by someone a few years ago 😬

I hope you can help me?
and while I'm at it which free photo editing program would you recommend? 🙈

There will be a cable for this in every Media Markt store or online. There will be a description for the camera on the net. If you have a memory card in the camera, you can easily use it with a reader on the PC.

As a picture editor you can see e.g. Gimb available. That is pretty good.

Either the camera has a usb connection or a memory card. It should be very easy via usb, the camera or the storage medium is recognized as an external drive and you can pull down the pictures via explorer.

or you can insert the memory card into a multi-card reader. If it is a CF card, good card readers can also read the old formats.

the in-house photo program "digital photo professional" from canon is recommended, but there are also plenty of other neat ones, e.g. Gimp

You can insert the Canon memory card into a card reader and copy the files as long as you have not bought a USB cable. The EOS utility would also be helpful (I don't know if it still works with the old camera). You can download it from Canon.

Edit: not available for Win 10 for your model

Aw

Take out the SIM card. And read it out

I use MS Office Picture Manager for easy editing

Ha

Sim cards are on the phone. There are SD or CF cards in the camera.

So first of all why do you take pictures with old cucumber with 3 megapixels?

To get the pictures down there you need a card reader that can do something with CF cards (a relatively large slot, almost twice the size of an SD slot).

Thank you. Happens to me while writing 🤦♀️
