I would be very happy if one or the other is there who also knows something and can help me
I have had my Canon ip7250 series printer for 2 1/2 years and until now it has always worked very well and there have never been any problems with the WLAN connection
a few weeks ago i set up a guest access. My Wi-Fi network before it was set up was called (for example) myhome, I then gave the guest access this name so that friends and family would not be irritated and adopted the password, then renamed the home network differently.
Now in the whole story I completely forgot about my printer because he only knew the connected myhome, I tried to reset everything with the network but somehow it doesn't work and I'm a little frustrated, I don't know if you can do it with the notebook somehow can do (it has no drive) but I'm a little at a loss
what do I have to do so that it runs again via WLAN? Right now is only possible via cable because somehow it can't connect to the router, do I have to remove the guest access?
Reset the network. You can find out how to do this in the operating instructions
Why the network and not just the printer?
If I expressed myself badly, reset the network settings on the printer
I no longer have the operating instructions, but I found and carried out the steps on the Internet. Unsuccessful
Then you didn't do it right. If you have reset the network settings, the printer can no longer connect to the network because the printer no longer knows the password
If your router has a WPS function for your access, then use this, otherwise connect the printer and the PC with a USB cable. Start the installation CD. You can then enter your new access data manually:
see https://www.canon.de/support/consumer_products/pixma_printer_wireless_connection_setup/ip7250_printer_wireless_connection_setup/
Network-enabled printers (HP, Canon,.,) Are all similar in setting up.
They can also be connected to the router without a PC. The setup works without any special Canon apps or Canon programs.
Try using the WPS method (WPS-PB) for setup.
Tips:
Print out the test page or configuration report directly from the printer menu, there's always the current configuration of the printer on it.
Delete the printer from Windows. And then add a "new printer", select the option "Search for printer in the network…". Because a new / differently configured printer often gets a completely new IP address from the router. The old IP address of the printer is then always "offline" anyway, since it no longer exists.
Here I also explained the WPS process
