GRW on hard drive for laptop not findable?

I recently bought Ghost Recon Wildlands for my laptop, but since the memory was almost full I installed it on my external hard drive. Now the problem, since I take the laptop quite often, I always have to remove the hard drive. Then you can plug in the hard drive again and the computer finds the game on Steam again, after the installation icon was displayed, he then also noticed that it was installed, and you could use it. This is no longer the case, the laptop wants to install GRW always on the hard drive because he thinks it is not yet available, but this is the case because there are about 70 GB occupied and otherwise there's not much on it…

Ask for quick help,

P.S. I do not want to have to reinstall it after the opportunity😅

Do you start Steam before you infect the plate? It may be that Steam does not recognize the library.

If other devices, drives or hard drives are connected to the USB ports again and again, the internal COM port number of a storage location changes. Then the registry does not find the drive or program with the originally assigned letter / path.

if you have s. Lapi a usb socket, which you otherwise use neither for mouse or other accessories, then put your external always only in this port. Then this address is not lost.

Yes I tried, but the laptop wanted to reinstall in the existing steam library on the external 56 GB. Then I wondered if it could be the new update, but I thought that was unlikely and therefore canceled the download
