My internet provider has had a total breakdown in the area since yesterday evening and we're working on it. How long does it usually take? I have to connect my cell phone to my laptop to have internet access and that is simply unbearable in times of home office.
There's no such thing as normal.
It depends on what is broken and how committed the provider is. A few weeks ago I had a transformer fire on Sunday. They had the power back on in 5 hours, even though they needed an excavator (Sunday!) And dug up.
Nobody will do the work for Internet. That means everything is possible from an hour to a month. Sorry!
Maybe get a wireless network to bridge the gap.
