What is the best way to play Windows 10 from a laptop with Windows XP? Can I upgrade to Windows 10 free of charge with a Windows Vista or Windows 7 CD with license?
😅 if there was originally Windows XP on it, the laptop is a bit older. Then I would first clarify whether the laptop packs Windows 10 at all.
There's no longer an upgrade from Win7 to win 10. That was limited by Microsoft.
But the free upgrade is still available.
I don't think the PC has nearly the performance to run Win 10 just because it's a laptop…
With Windows 7 you can still change easily. The offer was originally limited, but it is still possible. You can also continue to use your Win7 Key there. (I just did it myself recently.
The only question is whether your laptop is even Windows 10 compatible.
