New bios, how?

I tried installing an SSD disk in my Hp6910p laptop. Although the disk works and the laptop has the option "native SATA mode", the SSD is not recognized. Is it possible to install a new BIOS? And how?

You can't just install a new BIOS on a laptop. The only option you would have to install a bios update on the hp support page. Perhaps then the ssd is supported.
