Windows notification window opens. I do not understand why this happens and so far only restarting the laptop helped. It's really annoying to have that over and over again and I would like to know how to fix / prevent it.

Could it be that you switch to the desktop with "Windows" + "D"? If so, you should get used to switching with "alt" + "tap".
