Hello and although I ordered a music CD a few weeks ago the problem is I don't have a CD player but you can put CDs in on my laptop and although my question is whether you can also put music CDs in there or whether you can only put film cds in can (for those who are interested I have a laptop from Toshiba)

Both DVD and Bluray drives are compatible with and can read from CDs.
So you should be able to play your CD with your drive.

Yes, yes. It could well have been that the device is device-dependent and not every device is compatible with CDs. Especially since I never listen to CDs on Bluray or DVD players, so I have hardly any experience with CD compatibility.
Fun fact: Not every Bluray player has a DVD / CD laser on board. But does not change the fact for the questioner.
Also because of the different lasers, I assumed that there might be no compatibility. Therefore the internet source for it.
