Why are all my computer programs from Desktop so small to laptop open at once?

So: I had closed my laptop for 2 hours while it was on, and when I opened it all of my programs on my desktop were very small, Paint 3D and Mail were open and it was suddenly damn slow. Why is that and how do I get my programs bigger again? (Windows 10)

Right click on the screen view and the size there to normal
