Connect PC screen to laptop?

I have a laptop and plan to buy a pc monitor. My laptop screen isn't exactly the best. If I now connect a good PC screen to it, will the screen quality be better?

from the graphics card and
from the monitor or display

If the monitor z. B. 4k can and your graphics card can then yes. Exactly the same with all other resolutions. If necessary, it still has to be adjusted but then it works quickly
