I always played Sims 4 on my old laptop because it broke, so now I have a new one. But now I have the problem that the CC Content or the User Defined Content is not even displayed when I open the game and not in the rest of the game even though I have installed everything correctly.
And answers that unfortunately do not help me prevent:
Yes, I have the CC Content in the correct folder.
Yes, I have User Defined Content and still the script mode turned on (even off and on, it can't be!)
And no, it's not because it's mesh content, I have the stuff you need for the particular recolars.
I look forward to your answers!
Do you have the laptop mode? Did you change the language of the game on the laptop? Is there a file called Resources.cfg in the mods folder?
I know problems with CC only too well. Once all Random Sims became invisible to me.
Did you delete the localthumbcache file after packing the CC into the modfolder?
What do you mean? Please explain it to me.
So I did not change the language (so do not do anything extra) and what do you mean by laptop mode? And yes there's a file with the name inside, should not it be there?
If you think the file I selected as cc might be too old. The files always work with everyone else, and they are not old. Unfortunately, I do not know any further. : /
But with me the thing is that with Sims the video card was not recognized by my laptop. Does it have anything else to do with it?
Could be outdated so no longer playable.
Do the CC end up in the folder with .package?
Yes, they do, why? And no, they are not outdated.
You need to clear the cache files when installing new CCs and mods, otherwise they will not be displayed in the game. In your Sims 4 folder under Documents is a file called localthumbcache.package. You have to delete them.
