Write your own books, apps?

I wanted to ask if there's an app (or even a program on laptop / computer), where you can just write a book for yourself so it can save? Or how do the writers do it? Are they more likely to do that on Word or do they have a specific program as well?

Normal word processing is almost too much. Writers do not have to format the text. A simple text editor is just as good in principle. But spelling correction is of course a nice move for the editor.

Papyrus author is very popular, also allows easy export in e-book formats. Only costs a lot. Theoretically enough Word or any other program to write text, then may just less comfortable.

If you publish yourself, you have to format well.

Professionals for novels / scripts currently "put their flow on paper" in writing programs such as Scrivener or Papyrus Author.

Then it is shortened and transformed and supplemented and filmed and filed and…

In the state ripe for the publication proposal one copies approximately 30 to 50 content-important pages from the unfinished novel to the standard page / standard page in WORD (30 lines each for 60 stops, Courier 12 (= typewriter like), line spacing 1.5, indents for new sentences, new ones Line for non-contact direct speech, special quotes and the like) to paper, because this form of the manuscript most often wants to have the agency or the publisher.

After acceptance with the publishing order one writes his manuscript ready for the complete delivery: proofreader, editor. Often the publisher then decides on the appropriate book form and reformats the WORD manuscript itself.

But you do not do that when writing.
